Just as soon as I make up my mind that my beloved Birmingham Blogroll couldn’t get any better, I stumble across something amazing, something inspiring, something so unique I can’t believe it’s not butter…
And, for those of you out there who are feeling less than lucky, well, how ’bout I drop THREE amazing little ditties on you today?!
Check out these new hits (and thank me later)…
The Veggie Vore - Penned by local PR guru and vegetarian-by-choice, Britt, this blog is mainly about a cute-as-can-be husband/wife duo who like to eat, but have very different palates…
While our preferences are vastly different, we are masters at making meals work. We like to build our menu around a theme–same veggie, same sauce–and change up the protein. Just so we are clear, Vore does NOT eat tofu.
Here, we will focus on the healthy lifestyle the two of us are building together. That has a lot to do with food, but you’ll find plenty on our exercise, adventures and Guinea pig experiments.
Recipes (and best practices) included. Dig in, y’all…
Modern Mommee Paleo Practice - Speaking of healthy eating, this local mommy (Erin is her name) is cookin’ up some delicious dish on how her family is creating/experiencing/enjoying the Paleo lifestyle. Even the strongest skeptic can’t deny Erin’s passionate, inspiring dialogue…
It’s not easy to make lifestyle changes, particularly if the habits have been there for all your life; if people around you don’t offer support and make you give up; and especially if you aren’t understanding why you need to make permanent changes.
No matter what your path is to improving your lifestyle and health, I hope that you make safe and permanent choices that improve your long-term health, even if it means a short-term sacrifice. You will love yourself even more for making a change.
Even if you aren’t ready to go full-on paleo, at least try out some of these healthy dishes and most definitely take a bite out of Erin’s take on (a positive, well-lived) life.
Dad Creates - All hail a daddy who blogs! This father is sharing his story on how being a creative parent has given him the life he’s always dreamed of…
The days are passing where the father only provided and the mother raised the children. I meet more and more creative dads every day who are immersed in the lives of their children and deeply connected to their wives. My hope is that this blog will inspire dads (and moms) to use their own creativity to connect with their families and provide a place where creative ideas can be shared.
Now excuse me while I run off to do a little meal and creative play planning…
