It’s been a nice break from Birmingham, this week spent seaside with family and a stack of books. It’s a reprieve (from day-to-day affairs) such as this that give me just enough break from reality to remind me exactly what my reality looks like, for I know I’ll be returning to it at the end of our beach adventure.
I spotted this directional post on my walk this morning, and it gave me reason to ponder just which path I would choose, today. Short of zipping off to Paris (or New York) all by myself for a grand few days (obviously, not part of my reality), I mentally added my own arrow that pointed straight to Birmingham.
‘Cause that’s where my home is. That’s where our garden grows. That’s where our work is.
And in a place like Birmingham, we’re all given the opportunity to create our own path as we pursue our own journey. Here’s to finding a little direction and setting off on yours!
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

And, Tamika – Birmingham will never let you go, completely
But if you do decide to zip off to Paris for a quick visit, I’ll gladly tag along! Love the photo too LK.
I’m glad you had fun but we’re glad to have you home!
