Hey, stranger. It’s been a while.
The four-pack has just returned from a week at the beach. And not just any beach… Pawley’s Island, South Carolina – quite possibly the real-deal *heaven on earth*.
Don’t hate. We deserved every minute of it.
Some may assume that returning to Alabama after an extended dip in the Atlantic Ocean might be a disappointment. (Okay, maybe a little.) But coming back to Birmingham was refreshing. Autumn seems to be trickling in, and our home was even more welcoming than I’d anticipated. I immediately went to work on a new list of projects for the new season, all of which feel completely doable and completely appropriate. For example, I’m working on a new workspace for myself (in what should be the mudroom), and Boss and I are spending most of our free time out in the yard, basking in the cooler temperatures that allow us to continue our never-ending landscaping adventures. All in all, it’s good to be home.
There’s a lot of excitement on the horizon, and I can’t wait to share it all with you. For now, though, I’m going to get back to the business of unpacking, settling in, catching up on things thrown to the wayside during a blissed out week of beach vacation.
